HAZARD CONFUSES SHREWSBURY FOR STRAWBERRY

I don't blame Hazard for not knowing Shrewsbury Town, and neither should you. It's actually pretty impressive that he knew the team's name started with an 'S', because I know for a fact that every non-English person can't even name one team in the fourth tier of English football. So instead of calling Hazard ignorant, how about we just praise the fact that a fruit comes to mind quicker than a professional club in England. Absolute brilliance from Eden once again.

SOCIAL MEDIA OF FOOTBALLERS

Lukaku Gives KitKats
Kids knock on Lukaku's door for Halloween, and what does he do? Gives them kit-kats.

Not sure if he's talking about the candy chocolate or the OTHER chocolate.. If you know what I mean ;)... Yes?
Yes?
Ok no.

Lamela's Wardrobe Decisions
There's a few rules when deciding what the ootd is going to be so that you don't look like a completely d-bag in public. Probably, the most basic is not to put on the entire uniform of a NBA franchise.  Unfortunately, Tottenham's Erik Lamela did just that, consequently making himself look like, well, a huge d-bag.

Adebayor Wardrobe Decisions..
Ok, I'm all for personal style and preferences, but something weird is going on over at Spurs. First Lamela thinking he's Kobe, and now Adebayor thinking he's a zebra? It's like his outfit couldn't decide whether it was a pajama, robe, or snuggie. Plus the audacity to snap a pic and share it to the social media world, my man definitely regretting walking out the house like this, let alone buying the thing.

MLS IS BAD, REALLY BAD

Magic Johnson recently announced his ownership (via Twitter) of the new Los Angeles club that will debut in the 2017 MLS season. With all these expansion teams joining the league recently, it seems as if the MLS believes that adding more teams will magically bring in talented players.

I mean, does anyone actually think the MLS is a good league? It can't even entice a 36 year old Frank Lampard to come (he's currently in negotiations to extend his stay at City). It's as if the Englishman realized that he's STILL got it, and is now currently begging not to be thrown away to the recycling bin of football. Because that's what the MLS is, the recycling bin of football.

When I presented this opinion on Twitter, I got a number of responses in defense of the MLS from some hardcore supporters of the league. Here are the most common responses I received, with my rebuttal following.

"We got Thierry Henry"

Yes. You do have Thierry Henry, but have you seen the guy play? The man is going 15% and is still the best player in the MLS. He doesn't even celebrate his goals because why would he? Do you celebrate when you dunk over your friend's 7 year old brother? Point is that the MLS has one world class player, who smartly transferred to the US in order to get paid bank without having to move a finger. So who's the real winner here?

"Fine. But we got Michael Bradley."

Whenever I hear Michael Bradley I slightly chuckle (I roll on the floor laughing when someone brings up Jozy Altidore, but that's another story). Really? Michael Bradley? Stop. Just look at his performance in the World Cup and tell me with a straight face he's not overrated. Go ahead I'll wait.

"Clint Dempsey. Second most goals in US history and played in the EPL. Solid player"

Ok, I'm a man that realizes solid players when I see one. Clint had some good years in England, and even better years for the national team. But have you searched this man on YouTube? He's a rapper. A rapper. Do you really want your best player dropping these types of horrible tracks every couple months or so? The music video itself gave me goosebumps because of how totally embarrassing it is. I'm even more disappointed in the other guys in the video. Friends don't let friends do stupid things. Smh.

"What about Bradley Wright-Phillips? Most goals in a season in the MLS and looking at possible call-up to the England national team"

What? Bradley Wright-Phillips has the most goals in a season in MLS history? There must be a reason why I never heard about this. Possibly because not even American sports networks care about the MLS. He couldn't even outplay his own brother. Shaun is 10x better, and he plays on QPR. You just know when you're the top scorer in your league, and your more talented brother is seen as a fluke in another, something is wrong with your league.

*MLS supporter, who lives in lala land, realizes his league sucks, turns around and drags his disappointed self to the couch, picks up remote, turns on NFL*

VAN GAAL SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT IT WAS JUST ROBIN'S SHIRT

If you haven't heard yet, Van Gaal labeled Van Persie's celebration "stupid", as the striker drew a yellow card for taking off his shirt in moments of jubilation after equalizing against Chelea in the 94th minute. However, why does LVG need to be so negative, imagine if Robin decided to run towards the corner flag, and dry hump that post in front of millions of viewers (yes, this celebration actually happened in the Australian league, check the video below)

It could be even worse Van Gaal, what if Robin pulled a Vucinic and whipped out his shorts and started waiving them around? (Possibly the greatest celebration of all time)

What if RVP got a bottle of champagne and just started spraying it all over his mouth erotically like my boy Chris Bosh?

Alright I'll stop now that was too much..

JOEY BARTON BLASTS NEYMAR AFTER EL CLASICO

Nothing new here, as Joey Barton is once again slamming Neymar for being overrated (because scoring 40 goals in 58 caps for Brazil is so easy). Although netting the opener in El Clasico, Barton was seemingly unimpressed with Neymar's performance. The QPR midfielder took to twitter to go on a rant, to the amusement of everyone else. Funny thing here is that Neymar probably still doesn't know who Joey Barton is.

Why doesn't Joey just go step on someone/worry about not getting relegated and leave

PAPPA GOAL VS GALAXY

In a match that decided the winner of the MLS Supporters Shield, Pappa doubled up as he led Seattle to a 2-0 win over Los Angeles.

Already winning by one goal, Pappa dispossessed LA's goalkeeper and ran towards goal. The Guatemala man decided to scoop the ball over the last defender, because passing the ball into the back of the net is just way too mainstream.

Look familiar? Probably because Pappa already had a chip goal earlier in the season. Someone bring this man some salt to go with those chips (I apologize for that last sentence being super corny... But I just HAD to do it).

NIKE LAUNCHES CR7 GALA COMMERCIAL

With the new CR7 Gala boots already released earlier this week, it wouldn't be Nike if an extremely exaggerated over-the-top unnecessary completely unrealistic commercial of the event didn't come along with it.

On a completely side note, I wonder if Ronaldo can actually leg press a car...

BALOTELLI IN THE HEADLINES

Unsurprisingly, Mario Balotelli managed to hit front covers this week on various news outlets. Albeit this time the stories have nothing to do about his off-the-field antics, it wouldn't be Mario if some sort of drama wasn't involved. In short, rumor has it that the Italian misfit could be shipped out during the January transfer window if Balo fails to produce on the field. He has only scored one goal so far this season for the Reds.

The prospective move should work out perfectly for Brendan Rodgers because, after all, he's got Rickie Lambert ready at his disposal if the Italian forward doesn't work out f*** all on the bench. Think Liverpool fans, Balotelli is your best bet. Unless you want the reincarnation of Andy Carroll (Directly pointing at Rickie right now), then by all means off load Super Mario.

If you're one of the sane people that think with your head and not with your d***, you'll stick with Balotelli for the rest of the season.

IMAGES! UP CLOSE WITH NEW CR7 GALA BOOTS

GOAL OF THE SEASON?

If you were one of the lucky ones to see this beauty live from Erik Lamela (I was one of them), your jaw most likely dropped straight to the ground. Good thing for the rest of the world, the 27th time you watch this is definatley as good as the first. So eat that law of diminishing returns (economic geeks chuckling right now).

Also, check that reaction from Spurs' Ben Davies on the bottom left of the video.. The guy couldn't believe it either.

Drop a comment below if you think this is the goal of the season so far

KANE DOES IT ALL FOR TOTTENHAM

Harry Kane had a match to remember Thursday at White Hart Lane, as he led his side to a 5-1 victory in the Europa League. However, on a night where Spurs had used up all their subs when Lloris got sent off, Kane's forced repositioning to goalkeeper trumped his three-goal effort as his individual highlight. Hilariously I might add.

With only a couple minutes remaining, Kane was immediately tested after jumping in front of net from a free-kick, and what followed displays why center forwards shouldn't be the man with the gloves..

POGBA WEARS CUSTOM MAGISTA FOR JUVE

Here at F2G, we love our custom boots. This past weekend for Juventus, Paul Pogba rocked custom Magistas in a match for Juventus. After recently making the switch from adidas to Nike, Pogba took no time in putting his skills to the designer game, and undoubtedly did a pretty dope job.

The all white upper, black linings, and gold swoosh meshed perfectly with the Juve kit, and had Pogba swaggin on everyone in the Serie A. Props to Paul here because these would be a def cop if they ever dropped as a public release.

Drop a comment if you would pick these boots up if they released

RAFAEL SCREAMS AT BERAHINO

A new type of defending was showcased in the Premier League this Monday, as Rafael resorted to a swift yell in attempts to unsettle West Brom forward Saido Berahino. Long story short, the plan failed as the 21-year old England international slotted the ball to the bottom corner.

Nice try Rafa..
