Boots Of The Match: Neymar Leads Brasil To Opening Day Win

The wait is over as the 2014 FIFA World Cup is fully underway (Thank you BasedGod). We kick-off this World Cup edition of #BootsOfTheMatch with the Opener between host country Brasil and Croatia. After a shaky start from Brasil, Neymar was able to drop a deuce (as in score 2 goals for you dirty minds) and lead his country to an opening day victory. Laced up in the Hypervenoms, Nike is celebrating up in their HQ that their lead man seems as if he'll do a repeat of the Confederations Cup last year. Hopefully this turns into a goal scoring war between Messi (adidas) vs Neymar (Nike), because that'll be too dope.

New to the Joma family, the Propulsion 3.0 is designed to fall into the speed category. The boot weighs 247g, which is towards the heavier end of the scales in the lightweight market but when you consider the price tag of around £75 it won't just be the boots that'll be a bit heavier, your wallet will be too.

The Joma Propulsion joins a line-up that already includes the traditional leather Aguila and lightweight Super Copa as the Spanish brand add to their armoury. Joma players are hard to come by these day with the brand receiving very little player support on pitch but the brand have a large following in their home of the World Champions, Spain.

Using the same gold color as the special Cristiano Ronaldo 2014 White / Gold Boot, the shiny gold upper of the Neymar 2014 World Cup Boot will stand out on the pitch. The Metallic Gold color will shine on the pitch to offer Neymar a bold look.

The volt Nike Swoosh is the same used for all Nike 2014 World Cup Boots, while the iconic Nike Swoosh also features gold details inspired by the glory of winning the 2014 World Cup. Nike will release the new gold Neymar 2014 World Cup Boot during the 2014 World Cup. Neymar currently plays with the normal colorway of the Nike Hypervenom 2014 World Cup Football Boot and will switch to his Golden Dream boot soon.

The Neymar 'Golden Dream' 2014 World Cup Boot will be available from June 21, 2014 and retails at the same price as the normal Nike Hypervenom Colorway.

The new Hypervenom 2014 World Cup Boot is mainly pink (Hyper Punch), with volt applications and gold details and will be worn by players like Welbeck, Neymar and Rooney at the 2014 World Cup. The Nike Hypervenom 2014 Hyper Punch Boot was unveiled in the last week of April together with the other Nike 2014 World Cup Boots.

The new Hypervenom 2014 Boot Colorway features the same colors as the releasing Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boot, which includes a pink upper, a volt Nike Swoosh and black details like the toungue. As all Nike 2014 World Cup Cleats, it includes a special pattern on the Nike Swoosh. The outsole of the Nike Hypervenom 2014 World Cup Boot is volt with a black Nike Swoosh, similar to the volt insole. The upper of the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 2014 Boot is made from the synthetic NikeSkin, designed for perfect control and agility. The gold Nike Swoosh is inspired by the 2014 World Cup trophy.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor X 2014 Football Shoe features a new tongue-less upper, which is the most striking part of the tenth Nike Mercurial Boot. The unreleased Nike Tiempo Legend V 2014 World Cup Boot comes with some similar design elements as the leaked Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boot, including the pattern of the Nike Swoosh and the pink insole. Unlike the colorways released until today, the special World Cup boot includes no bi-colored upper and outsole. Striking elements of the 2014 World Cup Tiempo Boot are also gold studs and the black Tiempo logo on the heel. The upper of the boot is made from k-leather and comes with the Nike Hypershield technology, which helps to reduce the boot dry in all weather conditions.

Nike Sportswear "Mercurial" and "Magista" Collections

With the 2014 FIFA World Cup happening next month in Brazil, we have seen many complimenting colorways by several brands. Now, we get to take a look at another Nike World Cup inspired release, dubbed the Nike Sportswear “Mercurial” and “Magista” Collections. In total, there are nineteen colorways which take hold of one of eight silhouettes.
